Position Description

InQuinox, LLC provides solutions and services in data protection, disaster recovery and software development to enable our customers to strengthen their IT efficiencies and enable a rapid return to operations when losses occur. Through our hardware products, specifically the SD3 deduplication appliance for Symantec’s NetBackup PureDisk, we have become the first vendor to provide a 1TBpm platform upon which data can be backed up and restored. Also, through our SanXfer software product, we enable our customers to utilize the industry’s first Storage Area Network (SAN) utility for migrating Windows®-based SAN booting systems to new hardware regardless of vendor, model or attached devices. Our consulting practices build upon this expertise to ensure that mid-sized to large-sized companies can utilize their infrastructures to the fullest.

As a leading provider of world-class data protection solutions, we are seeking a Sales Representative who will be responsible for selling InQuinox's Products and Consulting Services to new and existing InQuinox customers, as well as maintaining positive on-going relationships to meet evolving customer needs. Your overall focus areas will be in prospecting, developing business, responding to RFPs, developing proposals for presentation to customers, and selling products and services. Cross-functional teams from InQuinox's Marketing, Systems Engineering and Product Development functions will provide support and tools for you to leverage while attaining and exceeding your sales performance goals. You will utilize your strong understanding of the data protection market, customer buying styles, excellent relationship building, negotiating, and sales skills to be successful in this role.

The essential responsibilities of the Sales Representatives are to work directly with customers to capture sales opportunities and to work effectively across functions with other InQuinox employees. A specific knowledge of Symantec’s SAMG (Storage and Availability Management Group) products, including NetBackup, Storage Foundation and VCS is expected.

This position will be directly responsible for product and service sales into large, multi-national, enterprise accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The following items define the role and responsibilities of the Senior Technology Consultant:

  • Primary job duty is to use relationship management techniques to sell business applications software/solutions and related services to prospective and existing customers
  • Schedule and attend customer sales calls with other InQuinox sales team members, as required
  • Manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning
  • Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the customer’s environment
  • Participate in the development, presentation and sales of a value proposition
  • Develop and propose POCs (Proof of Concepts) to enable customers to test our product in their environments
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale
  • Develop InQuinox customer references
  • Identify and develop strategic alignment with key third party influencers

Requirements:

The candidate is expected to possess:

  • Background as a leading contributor in a growth organization with 3 to 5 years of successful sales experience, relative to the Data Protection market
  • Bachelor degree or related experience
  • Knowledge of Symantec’s SAMG (Storage and Availability Management Group) products including Storage Foundation, VERITAS Cluster Server (VCS), NetBackup, PureDisk, Bare Metal Restore (BMR) among other products, along with those of Symantec’s competitors
  • Ability to penetrate accounts, meet with stakeholders within accounts, including C level players
  • Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems
  • Ability to convey information clearly and provide analysis as needed to help customer make buying decisions
  • Creative problem solving skills when addressing routine to moderately complex problems and projects
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees within department and across functions
  • Team player with strong inter-personal and customer communications skills: written, oral, and presentation
  • Excellent discretion, judgment and work ethic
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
