Position Description

InQuinox, LLC provides solutions and services in data protection, disaster recovery and software development to enable our customers to strengthen their IT efficiencies and enable a rapid return to operations when losses occur. Through our hardware products, specifically the SD3 deduplication appliance for Symantec’s NetBackup PureDisk, we have become the first vendor to provide a 1TBpm platform upon which data can be backed up and restored. Also, through our SanXfer software product, we enable our customers to utilize the industry’s first Storage Area Network (SAN) utility for migrating Windows®-based SAN booting systems to new hardware regardless of vendor, model or attached devices. Our consulting practices build upon this expertise to ensure that mid-sized to large-sized companies can utilize their infrastructures to the fullest.

As a leading provider of world-class data protection solutions, we are seeking a Senior Technology Consultant who possesses an in-depth knowledge of data protection products with specific interest in Symantec’s NetBackup application. This position will be directly responsible for architecting, designing, deploying and supporting large, multi-national, enterprise accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The following items define the role and responsibilities of the Senior Technology Consultant:

  • Provide implementation services to our clients, in the areas including data center and server migrations, data protection (backup and recovery) solutions, and disaster recovery preparedness and operational efficiencies.
  • Provide senior leadership and technical prowess when preparing for, and implementing all project phases for InQuinox clients.
  • Bring and continue to develop Project Management expertise, including project planning
  • Provide technical expertise in preparing SOW (Statement of Work) responses, in support of Sales
  • Navigate and manage technical issues within the account from pre-sale thru post-sale
  • Provide product evaluation support (either hands-on or phone support)
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive ties with vendors who are associated with our efforts
  • Maintain interaction with the following corporate groups:
    • Product Management and Engineering by providing field (customer) input on product features and feature prioritization requirements during product operational review meetings
    • Customer Support on product-specific functionality requirements, opportunities and/or impediments
  • Coordinate and deliver customer training, relevant to consulting engagements (as needed)
  • As subject matter experts, assist the creation of white papers and technical notes
  • Personal resource management:
    • Ensure that you have the necessary training to support InQuinox consulting practices
    • Keep management appraised of issues that may effect the sales team or customer relations
  • Travel: the anticipated amount should be limited to 80% of the time

Requirements:

The candidate is expected to possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, or related area or demonstration of equivalent knowledge
  • In-depth knowledge of Symantec’s IMG (Information Management Group) products including NetBackup, PureDisk, Bare Metal Restore (BMR) and other products.
  • At least three (3) years of relevant consulting experience
  • At least four (4) years experience in networking and system operations and administration (Windows and/or UNIX)
  • Excellent discretion, judgment and work ethic
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in dynamic environments
  • Creative problem solving skills when dealing with projects
  • Strong inter-personal and customer communications skills, written, oral, and presentation
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
