Position Description
InQuinox, LLC. is a leading provider of world-class data protection solution and is headquartered in Austin, TX. InQuinox is currently searching for an experienced Windows developer to design, develop and extend InQuinox's existing and new software products through software development efforts. As a senior engineer, you will work with our talented team in a positive fast paced environment.
The role of the Windows Principal Software Engineer is to develop quality software in accordance with customer requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and implement new features for InQuinox’s Windows based product line
- Write high quality, maintainable code
- Become the "Go-to" person for resolving complex issues
- Define and write support procedures and documentation for the Support Team
- Work with client and InQuinox’s teams to develop and deliver business and technical solutions to client satisfaction
- Maintain interaction with the following corporate groups:
- Product Management and Sales by receiving field (customer) input on product features and feature prioritization requirements during product operational review meetings
- Customer Support on product-specific functionality requirements, opportunities and/or impediments
Requirements:
The candidate is expected to possess:
- BS in Computer Science, related field, or relevant work experience
- Minimum of 10 years Windows software development experience
- Strong Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), C#, and .NET programming skills
- Strong design and implementation skills
- Strong writing and documentation skills
- Hands-on experience with Windows device driver development
- Thorough understanding of Win32 API
- Background with C/C++ programming
- Expert with Microsoft Visual Studio
- Expert using Windows debugging tools
- Thorough understanding and experience writing multi-threaded Windows code
- Understanding of the full product life cycle from product concept to product
end of life - Demonstrated track record of being a key contributor on successful products
- Excellent initiative and motivation. Ability to work independently and drive problems to a solution with a minimum of oversight.
