SD3 simplifies PureDisk deployment, minimizes the requirement for professional services and improves the customer experience. Factory-configured with PureDisk software and it ships data-center ready to your specifications. With pre-allocated storage using your hostnames, IP address information, and PureDisk license keys, SD3 is a true Plug ‘n Play (PNP) appliance configured for your data deduplication requirements. With free onsite installation, InQuinox removes the complexity and pain out of implementing deduplication to create greater value and satisfaction for you.
Performance and Scalability
Purpose built to provide the highest level of performance of any appliance, SD3 is optimally tuned to run Symantec’s NetBackup PureDisk deduplication solution. In addition, InQuinox’s convenient “Storage on Demand” remote upgrade capability makes it easy to scale SD3 to meet your expanding deduplication needs quickly by simply licensing more capacity.
Resilience
Designed for reliability and longevity, SD3 appliances are self-healing. They use the same disk array technology as satellites circling the Earth, and can withstand catastrophic failure and continue to work. SD3 appliances are warranted to keep running a minimum of three years uninterrupted with zero maintenance making SD3 ownership worry free.
Green Technology
SD3 appliances are significantly more energy-efficient and use less than half the power of other deduplication appliances, drawing at capacity fewer than 5 watts per terabyte and less than 15 BTUs per hour per terabyte. With SD3, you can save up to 75 percent in real estate costs and realize a 50 to 80 percent reduction in power and cooling expenses over running PureDisk on non-optimized commodity hardware. SD3 also reduced IT operating costs by eliminating wasted expenses caused by over provisioning.
